Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
Led to the stabilization of FCC’s Equipment Authorization System (EAS) after critical failure. Later, help to strategically address the issue and secure the system.
Supported the upgrade of FCC’s financial management system (Momentum/Genesis) that also integrated with at least 24 applications across FCC.
Managed the data center migration project called Operation Server Lift within a six month period.

Data Center Migration

From assessing inventory and ensuring security to planning and completing data center migration, LUMIT has the knowledge and experience to get IT done.
Closely working with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chief Information Officer and Deputy Chief Information Officers, our Project Manager (PM) was the lead PM for the FCC 2015 Operation Server Lift project. The time frame was ambitious, but IT was accomplished. Within six months a team approach helped FCC IT to achieve its goal of migrating 200+ servers and almost 400 different applications. This migration effort reduced FCC’s contracting workforce by approximately 200 positions, cut FCC’s legacy IT spending by more than 35%, and ignited a path forward to modernizing FCC’s IT systems.
